Yes we do. If you don't like it, then YOU slow down.Should we really be using oil? Do we have to live such a fast paced life style?
There are alternatives to oil. Ethanol, contrary to popular belief, is not a viable source of energy, because it uses more energy to PRODUCE ethanol than we get out of it (energy from oil, might I add) because of the fact that we use corn rather than sugar cane. Since we don't have the resources necessary for sugar cane farming, we need to turn to alternative energy sources, preferably renewable ones such as wind and solar power. If we could manage to turn even a small percentage of our energy consumption from oil to either of these sources, it would cut back on our consumption of fossil fuels dramatically.
As for petroleum in cars, the government could subsidize the production of hybrids, which are far more fuel efficient, or invest in alternaively fueled cars. BMW recently announced that they have produced a (currently very expensive) hydrogen-fueled car.Should we really be using oil? Do we have to live such a fast paced life style?
naw we don't have live fast paced life we can live caveman life. Of better yet we can be a s poor as some the poorly devstately drought countries like we can just be poor like these other UN countries
