Can i paint the living room with oil paint?

considering the most time you spend in theliving room than any other room in the house you make want to use a satin finish regular paint because most people like to change room colors frequentley and oil based paint takes 3/4 base coats before color to cover NOT to mention the toxic smell inside the house, and i beleive it takes longer to dry. but i guess its up to you and if you love to paint alotCan i paint the living room with oil paint?
You can! the only thing is the dry time. Oil paint is primarily used to mask other paint on the walls along with smells. If the walls are fresh sheet rock i wouldnt advise it. Plus if you intend on painting again later you might have a difficulty painting over it! the new paint will run, and the oil will bleed through!

The person who answered with it will cause brain damage is dumb! Lead based paint will cause brain damage not oil based! Fumes are rich though so use it in a well ventilated area!!Can i paint the living room with oil paint?
It's more expensive, harder to apply, more of a health hazard, difficult to purchase (at least in California). Why would you?
i wouldnt it will stain the walls and if the paint starts to chip and your dog eats it, they will get Dain bramage...or your children. choose your poison
sure if you want to

If You do it will smell for days ,weeks depending on the paints. Talk to Two Good Quality Paint Stores which Sell Oil Paint if you must paint with oil. I suspect they will recommend a better procedure
