I live in Ohio, Im buying a double wide mobile home. Whats better to heat with, propane or fuel oil, and why?

First off fuel oil, if set up right will not smell up the house. Second propane doesnt burn hotter, fuel oil burns at 500 to 700 degrees and propane burns at 250 to 400 degrees. Since you live in a mobile home the oil tank would be outside and oil may jell up and stop heating and kerosine is more expensive. Propane is a more logical choice wont freeze up but will slow the flow if below 40% and can soot up the furnace faster. Propane is also much higher in efficiency and might save you alittle more in fuel costs.I live in Ohio, Im buying a double wide mobile home. Whats better to heat with, propane or fuel oil, and why?
LP. Heating oil makes the house reek to high heavens, even the newer stuff. LP is cheap, and efficient, and doesn't stink when you heat with it.I live in Ohio, Im buying a double wide mobile home. Whats better to heat with, propane or fuel oil, and why?
Fuel oil appliances require much more maintenance than do propane appliances. Maintenance costs, not to mention the down time, make propane a more attractive choice. Comparing fuel costs these days is almost impossible to accomplish because of the instability of fuel prices.
propain its cheeper because its made form fumes of gas prodution basicaly and its cleaner and more efficent
pick the answer above me!!
great answer fallencupid79..
propane burns hotter but you cant go out and get it your self.. you have to stay on it if you go with oil you can put diesel or k-1 in the tank so if you run out in the middle of the week and don't like the extra charge to make a special drop for fuel then you make that decision
hi burning propane gives off water like you would not belive so go for oil if set up right does not smell and will give better heat
