Once Oil runs out or is replaced the wests interest in the middle east will go. It will just be a dusty hole with nothing of interest, inhabited by people with a 10th century culture. Without the evil interfering westerners to hate will Islam lose its unifying force?Will Islam out live oil?

Islam was around before people cared about oil, and there's no reason to believe it will not be around after oil runs out.

With all the worry about ';green,'; and depletion of natural resources, and fossil fuels, we tend to forget what the Bible teaches us about this earth.





God made this planet to support mankind until He gets ready to re-make it into a ';new heavens and a new earth.';





Isaiah 65:17 聽露For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

Until that time, mankind will be sustained, and we'll have enough of ...whatever... (even through flood, famine, war, and other disasters) until God is ready to remake it. However, that happens only after the kingdoms of this world will have been subdued, and the false religions (including Islam) will be destroyed. From that reality, we see that ';oil'; and other necessities will outlast Islam.

Ummm, it was here for centuries before oil. It will likely exist after oil. Hopefully it will not have the influence that it has to today. I suspect this is one of the reasons that Iran wants nuclear power/weapons as much as they as do.
Unifying force of Islam is Islam itself not oil. In this period of great turbulation Islam is still appealing to others despite such forceful propaganda against Islam.





We have our own culture based on beliefs, morals and spirituality. Western culture is nothing more than lack of culture and exploitation of weak.
