Does America`s useful idiots (liberals, Dems, the uninformed) have any idea what they are talking about ? Of course not.........Do you understand the importance of oil ??? Do you have any idea why western societies seem so interested in stabilizing the oil fields of the world ?.......Rational thought tells us that we need to secure the world`s oil fields. Irrational thought (liberal thought) tells us the U.S., and the west in general (while the libs ignore China...etc...) is evil and using oil is evil.......If you are a rational person, you know the civilized world today is dependent on oil to retain civilized societies.....Do you disagree ? Have you not been listening to the democratic agenda. You are absolutly right, we have a huge dependance on oil in this country and most of that oil comes from overseas. LETS CHANGE THAT. Let's re-tool our society to lessen our dependance on foreign oil.





How do we do that? How about a focus on something that benefits domestic business men? Renewable energy!!! It's the 21st century. We are using the same fossil fuel we used a hundred years ago. I would like to see the heroes of the Conservatives (big oil) stop stifling new technology in alternative fuels.
Then explain to us why the price of oil has skyrocketed since we invaded Iraq? The region WAS stable before we invaded. There was no reason for us to secure anything.

Rational thoughts and liberals cannot be used in the same paragraph. The things that liberals overlook when one of their own is in power is astounding. During Peacetime Clinton's presidency we lost 6500 U.S. soldiers. Compare this to a Wartime Bush, who has lost 3750. Where should the outrage really lie?
If people are willing to go to war for oil(which I doubt you'd get a majority on that), okay.





But I really want the truth told. If we're at war for oil, why pretend we're building a democracy?

And yes, instead of the huge SUV tax credits Bush handed out, what if that was invested in a thriving new alternative energy platform?

The amount of $ spent on this war could have easily created a feasable alternative to oil based energy, eliminating our dependance on the middle east and in turn eliminating several potential and already made enemies. You understand that we, Americans, are likely funding the terrorists in which our troops fight with the dollars we spend on oil. I'm not even going to touch the environmental issue.





It must be easy to say that blood is a worthy payment for oil when it is not your blood or the blood of your loved ones being spilled for said oil. I wouldn't know as I don't have that luxury.

I would love to be able to do that. But right now, the oil and car manufacturers lobbyists are busy making it almost impossible for any other research to be done on alternative energy in the US.





There is a finite amount of oil left in the world. Doesn't it make more sense to figure out something else to use as energy instead of fighting over the remaining oil?
