Now that oil is 110$ a barrel, how do you think we'll live when its 200, which is fast approaching,?

at 300? (which is about 2 years from now, at this rate) . A good majority of us are going to walk or ride a bicycles ?Now that oil is 110$ a barrel, how do you think we'll live when its 200, which is fast approaching,?
Actually, due to the current and continuing economic meltdown, the US dollar will continue to fall and prices of all commodities will continue to rise (in dollars, at least) even if one assumes that the supply doesn't diminish significantly. You are already seeing the first wave of effects... people trying to sell their SUVs, not buying homes 100 miles away from where they work, buying hybrids and so forth. Public transportation use is up significantly. The real problem is that the USA was constructed with the idea that everyone would have a car and cheap fuel would always be there for us. Oops. Now that oil is 110$ a barrel, how do you think we'll live when its 200, which is fast approaching,?
I can't wait to see what we do when it's GONE! Current estimates are at 40 to 50 years max.
first of all, it won't keep on growing so fast, 200 is far away, at least 5 years. And as to what happen, personally i hope it does because that will encourage ever more research into new energy sources, so in the long run it doesn't have to be such a bad thing. But as with everything that we're addicted to, we look past the price and still buy it
