Extra virgin live oil?

y r olives called virgin or extra virgin? i dnt get this cos olives dnt av sex so is it possible for any one 2 tell me y the olive is a virign?Extra virgin live oil?
Extra Virgin only applies to the PROCESSING of the oil. As well, E.V. can ONLY contain oil obtained from olives...NO other oil is permitted. It can only be treated a certain way.

Extra Virgin has NOTHING TO DO WITH SEXUALITY!Extra virgin live oil?
I was also going to tell the OP that extra virgin olive oil is used for salad dressings, etc. and 'normal' olive oil is used for cooking.

Having said that, if you only have one bottle, you can use EV oil for cooking but it won't taste any better. You can also use normal oil for salad dressings, etc. and it won't taste any worse.

In any event, I think what is clear is that the OP is not mature enough to be trusted with hot oil.
The first time they ';do it';, the olives are extra virgin- because they have not ';done it'; before. Yes, they do have sex, but it is with a big, smushing machine. The olive is not a virgin anymore. It has ';done it'; and now you have some delicious olive oil. I hope you're happy, you trollop.
THe first answer was right, its all about the pressings. The oil extracted from the first pressing is called extra virgin and the oil fromt he second is just virgin etc. The earlier the pressing the better the quality of oil hence the difference in price.
EXTRA VIRGIN just means that there is nothin more added. its just the oil. VIRGIN is pretty close but has maybe 1 or extra things added in that dont really make too much of a difference for it not to be called ';virgin';.
da fisrt pressin of de olives makes virgin oil, de secon wun does stuff wots orlrite and the rest is rubishe. Dey done av sex so aint no virgins

Rather like being in Milton Keynes don't you think, eh, what ! ! !
Bless you, in this case virgin has nothing whatsoever to do with sex, it is a term used to describe the pressings of the olives
It is the first pressing of the olives. Usually comes out very green in color.

BTW, does virgin wool come from ugly sheep.
Its the first pressing from the olives. Second press is virgin, then it becomes just olive oil!
