How could I know the difference between the Essential oils quality? Is there any specification?

Essential is about how it smell...if you buy a bottle you must check the percent of the purity and also how strong it smell. If you prepare it in your house is better if you do little extractions instead of a big one because you could get more oil doing little extractions. Call the companies that produce the oils and ask them about the way they made the extraction and ask about the purity of it.How could I know the difference between the Essential oils quality? The quality of an essential oil can vary greatly. At the end of the day, it all comes down to the reputation and integrity of the supplier. An essential oil should never be 'cut', should come from organicaly grown plants and should come from a business that is buying from a distillery.

There are a number of tests that are performed on essential oils but the main one is called gas chromatography. If you're buying in bulk your supplier will supply a GC test result upon request. This is a standard test. If he balks at sending you one, find another supplier.

Ultimately, it comes down to the credibility of your supplier. Buy as far up the supply chain as possible and only if the supplier provides full info like the botanical name, extraction method, etc.

Contrary to popular opinion, there's no such thing as ';aromatherapy grade';. A lot of people use that phrase but, legally, it means nothing.
The problem with Essential Oils, is that if you don't specify which oils and in what quantities and concentrations, you can't know what you are getting.

I prefer to take a full spectrum vitamin and mineral product. You can write me (wasdadd) at yahoo if you want to know more about what I take.
