What is quality control?and their duties in a an oil firm,in food industry,in the laboratory.?

Quality control is important and a must for every company...all products coming out from production, whether it is oil, food, materials etc...have to be certified to pass through stringent quality control checks. Only the best products are to be produced and sold out for the satisfaction of the customers or the end users.What is quality control?and their duties in a an oil firm,in food industry,in the laboratory.?
QC is essential regardless whether quality is to be maintained on agricultural raw materials or manufactured food products. It begins with customer specifications and market demand. With these specifications agreed upon, appropriate testing methods and control stations can be set up.





In food industry, sampling and testing raw materials provide the basis for accepting or rejecting these raw materials and give useful info how to handle the materials to obtain a finished product of the desired quality and shelf life.





Sorry, I don't know about oil firm and lab.
